Making a Purchase
Making a purchase from hids-direct could not be easier. Just browse our products pages, click on the items you wish to buy and put them into your shopping cart. When you have finished your selections, whilst in the Shopping Cart, click on "Checkout" and you will be take to our protx secure area, where you will be asked for your name, address, payment and telephone details that we need in order to process your order.
Credit/Debit Card Security
Your Credit/Debit card method of payment, is important to us at HIDS-DIRECT, particularly the protection of information supplied. That is why we use Protx for our secure 128-bit encrypted payment area. We can assure you that, no card details are held or maintained at our premises, either using our shopping cart or our salesline PDQ.
Alternatively, if you prefer you can make payment over the phone using a secure PDQ. Again no details are kept on our premises and any Credit/debit card payments are for the Credit card companies only.
We're a VAT registered company; VAT no: GB92427481. all our prices include VAT and VAT invoices are issued with any sales.
Shipping & Handling
We use an excellent courier service Interlink Express who deliver goods next day delivery service by 12pm throughout mainland uk and most of the Scottish highlands. We also use Royal mail special delivery and 1sst class post for Saturday and small deliveries.
At HIDS-DIRECT, we endeavor to keep our stock control correct at all times. However, on the rare occasion due to breakages, or short shipments from suppliers, we may find an item ordered is currently not available. In such a case we will contact you via email or telephone by the next working day, to inform you of such instances and either offer, a full refund or the option to back-order the item pending new stock arriving. Back orders never take more than 10 days from time of order.
Warranty information
All our products benefit from a 1 year warranty, any faulty product can be replaced within the first year of purchase providing that the item has not been tampered with, mis-used or no manufacturing fault has been found. If these goods are deemed tampered with in any way your warranty will become void and you will become responsible for the costs of replacement and return shipping. If no manufacturing fault is found you will be responsible for the costs of replacement and return shipping. Wherever possible we will respond to your individual circumstances. Will not be liable for any transit damage that may occur on any product you have returned to us for replacement. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, modifications to, failure(s) not due to manufacturing defect(s), when any warranty void sticker has been tampered with, failure to comply with the original manufacturers conditions of intended use, any accessories supplied. HIDS-DIRECT cannot be held responsible for any costs arising from unauthorized repairs to equipment during the warranty period. Only HIDS-DIRECT or the equipment manufacturer or their authorized service agents can carry out any warranty work. Any unauthorized repairs or repair attempts will void the warranty. Please return the warranty card within 7 days of purchase to validate your warranty.

Cancellation Rights
Under the Distance Selling Regulations, you are given the right to cancel your order without giving a reason within 7 days of placing the order. The cancellation period in the case of contracts for the supply of goods begins with the day on which the contract is concluded.
The cancellation period ends on the expiry of 7 working days, beginning on the day after the day on which the consumer receives the goods. Should you exercise this right to cancel you must return the goods unopened, unused and in the original condition it was sent, the cost of the return is to be met by you. Upon receipt of returned items, you will receive a refund less the original delivery costs and excluding any costs incurred in returning them. Any returns will be credited within 7 working days to the Credit/Debit card which made the initial payment.
