This part is the unit that controls the Cornering AFS (Adaptive-light-System) of the Projector lamp so it turns whilst driving.

How to tell if you need this?

If your module is defective the movement of the Projector lens would be restricted, it would sit the lamps statically pointing downwards with the beam only reaching a short distance from the car.
