Yellow DRL Upgrade

The factory BMW Xenon headlights use LED light-source modules to illuminate the distinctive daytime-running-light / angel-eye light guides. These replacement boards use yellow LEDs to create a much more distinctive appearance than the original white illumination.

The product photographs show the actual board design supplied, including the three yellow LED emitters and 3-pin connector. The illuminated-headlight photograph demonstrates the intended yellow DRL appearance.

Installation

Installation requires access to the LED modules within the headlamp assembly. The four boards are separated along their manufacturing score lines where applicable and installed in place of the corresponding original light-source boards.

We recommend installation by a competent automotive lighting technician if you are unfamiliar with dismantling headlight components.

Why can the boards appear joined together in some photographs?

They can be manufactured and supplied as a scored 2 x 2 panel. The score lines allow the panel to be separated into the four individual LED boards required for installation.

Does this fit every BMW F30 or F31?

No. The vehicle must use the compatible pre-LCI Xenon headlight system. BMW used several different headlight configurations, so please compare the OE reference, connector and original board before ordering.

What is the difference between 63117311243 and 63117398766?
