Smart Auto-Detect and Auto Scan

On supported Harley-Davidson motorcycles, the MT V6 can automatically identify available motorcycle or ECU information and begin an in-depth system scan.

Automatic identification is not available on every model. Manual motorcycle or ECU selection may still be required where the VIN or control-unit information cannot be retrieved.

OE-Level Harley-Davidson Diagnostics

The MT V6 scans supported electronic control units fitted to compatible Harley-Davidson motorcycles. It can retrieve and clear diagnostic trouble codes, display ECU information and stream live sensor data.

Coverage may extend beyond engine and ABS systems to electronic suspension, traction control, instrument displays, handlebar switches, exhaust valves and other body or chassis modules.

Module Information and ECU Identification

Retrieve supported control-module details such as part numbers, calibration identifiers and recorded odometer information.

This helps confirm which control unit is fitted and provides useful information before repair, replacement or further diagnosis.

Advanced Bi-Directional Tests

Bi-directional control, also known as an actuation or active test, allows the scanner to send commands directly to supported electronic systems and components.

Depending on the motorcycle, this can help test ABS pumps, ignition coils, warning lights, indicators, relays, valves and other components without immediately dismantling the bike.

Live Data, Graphing, DTC Lookup and Reports

View supported ECU and sensor readings in real time as text or easy-to-follow graphs. Graphic data can make abnormal readings and intermittent faults easier to identify.

The built-in DTC lookup library provides fault-code definitions directly on the scanner.

Diagnostic sessions can be saved for later review, while professional PDF health reports can be generated through a compatible Windows PC.

ABS Brake Bleeding

Run supported ABS bleeding routines after brake-system maintenance to help remove trapped air and restore correct hydraulic operation.

The on-screen menu guides access to the supported Harley-Davidson service routine.

OBDII Emission Diagnostics

On compatible motorcycles, standard OBDII functions may include:
