Complete 4-piece yellow LED DRL light-source board set for selected BMW 1 Series F20/F21 LCI LED headlights using OE reference 63117428425. The kit contains both the 3-pin and 6-pin LED boards required for a complete vehicle set and is designed to replace the original internal DRL light-source boards while retaining the existing headlamp housings.

These boards produce a distinctive yellow daytime running light output in place of the original white DRL appearance.

Please note: complete headlights, aluminium control-module housings, screws, tools and fitting materials are not included unless specifically shown and stated otherwise.

Why replace the LED light-source boards?

The internal DRL LED boards can fail independently of the complete headlamp. Replacing the affected light-source boards can allow the original headlamp housing and associated electronics to be retained rather than replacing the complete headlamp assembly.

Possible symptoms of a faulty DRL light-source board can include:

• DRL not illuminating
• Intermittent operation
• Uneven or reduced brightness
• One side not working correctly
• Lighting fault message stored by the vehicle

Correct diagnosis should always be carried out before replacing components, as similar symptoms can also be caused by wiring, control modules, moisture ingress or other headlight faults.

Installation notes

• These are internal headlight electronic components and professional installation by an automotive lighting or electronics specialist is strongly recommended.
• Disconnect the vehicle battery and follow the manufacturer's repair procedure before removing or opening headlight electronics.
• Confirm whether the original board being replaced is the 3-pin or 6-pin version before installation.
• Inspect the headlamp for water ingress, corrosion or damaged seals before fitting new components.
• Replacing an LED board will not resolve an underlying moisture, wiring or control-module fault.
• Transfer or renew thermal-interface material where required by the original headlight design.
• Avoid touching or damaging the LED emitters during installation.
• After installation, test all headlight functions and clear any stored lighting fault codes where necessary.

No. This listing is for the internal LED DRL light-source circuit boards. It does not include the aluminium control-module housing or complete headlamp assembly.

How many boards are included?

The kit contains 4 boards in total: two 3-pin boards and two 6-pin boards.

Does the kit cover both headlights?

Yes. The 4-piece set is intended to provide the matching boards required for both headlights, subject to confirming that your original headlamps use the same board and connector configuration.

Will coding be required?

The LED light-source boards themselves are normally replaced as hardware components and do not generally require programming. However, stored lighting faults may need to be cleared and further diagnosis may be required if another part of the headlight system is faulty.

Will these boards make the DRLs yellow?

Yes. This is the yellow-output version of the LED DRL light-source board set.

Are yellow DRLs road legal in the UK?

No road-use approval is claimed for this yellow conversion. UK MOT requirements specify that daytime running lamps must emit white light, so these boards are sold for show and off-road use.
