Upgrade compatible BMW 1 Series F40 and BMW 2 Series F44 Gran Coupé LED headlights with this complete 4-piece internal LED light-source PCB board set.

The kit converts the factory daytime-running-light appearance to a distinctive yellow DRL while retaining the correct amber front indicator / turn-signal function.

This is a complete left-and-right headlight set containing two different PCB types for each side:

• 2 × 6-pin combined-function LED boards – incorporating the amber turn-signal LEDs together with yellow DRL LEDs
• 2 × 5-pin yellow DRL LED boards – providing the additional yellow daytime-running-light section

Yellow DRL + Amber Indicator Conversion

These headlights use more than one internal LED light-source board. The 6-pin PCB is part of the combined DRL / turn-signal module arrangement and contains separate LED groups for the different lighting functions, including the amber front indicator and a section of the yellow DRL.

The separate 5-pin PCB provides the additional yellow daytime-running-light section.

Together, the four boards create the complete yellow DRL appearance across both headlights while maintaining the amber turn-signal function.

Installation

These are internal LED light-source boards, not complete external control modules.

Installation requires access to the relevant internal headlight components. The original PCBs must be removed and the replacement boards fitted into the corresponding locations.

• Professional installation by an automotive lighting specialist is recommended.
• Switch off the vehicle and allow the lighting electronics to power down before starting work.
• Use appropriate ESD precautions when handling LED circuit boards.
• Avoid touching or contaminating the LED emitters.
• Check connectors, heat-transfer surfaces and mounting points before reassembly.
• Ensure the headlight is correctly resealed after installation where access requires opening the lamp assembly.
• Test the DRL, turn signal and all other headlamp functions after installation.

Important – Yellow DRL Road Use

The yellow DRL boards are supplied as a styling upgrade. Vehicle lighting regulations vary by country and may require daytime running lamps to emit an approved white light for road use.

No road-use approval is claimed for the yellow DRL conversion. The purchaser and installer are responsible for confirming that the finished lighting configuration complies with applicable local regulations.
